In this four-week class, we will explore what mindfulness really is and how it can help us live - fully awake and alive to the possibilities of each moment. We will practice mindfulness in sitting meditation and in our daily lives, in stillness and in movement, alone and in company, in happiness, sadness, irritation, impatience, love, and joy… As Zorba the Greek might say, mindfulness can support us through the full catastrophe!

We will learn the tools of mindfulness to access our own inner resources of wisdom, healing, and peace.

Mindfulness-Based Habit Change 8-week Group (On-Line) 1.25 hours/week, beginning Oct. 24th at 10:30am.
We all struggle with something. Anxiety. Emotional Eating. Self-Judgment. Procrastination. Shopping. Anger. Harmful habits of all kinds. With Mindfulness, change is possible.

Research demonstrates group-based support helps change habits. Each session provides hands-on mindfulness practices as well as expert and peer support. Discuss observations and insights of weekly practices in a group setting.
Mindfulness Based Habit Change (MBHC) is based on the work of researcher and addiction psychiatrist, Judson Brewer, MD, PhD. Integrating both ancient wisdom based on Buddhist psychology and new learnings from modern science, Dr. Brewer developed a step-by-step approach to habit change demonstrated to be effective with anxiety, stress eating, and smoking cessation.

NANCY BENNETT, Certified MBSR teacher, is a Facilitator-in-Training for the MBHC program developed by Dr. Judson Brewer. This workshop is part of her training in Dr Brewer’s and fellow teacher Dr Robin Boudette’s Behavior Change Facilitator Training program at the Brown Mindfulness Center.
